Real-time face view correction for front-facing cameras

چکیده

Abstract Face views are particularly important in person-to-person communication. Differenes between the camera location and face orientation can result undesirable facial appearances of participants during video conferencing. This phenomenon is noticeable when using devices where front-facing placed unconventional locations such as below display or within keyboard. In this paper, we take a stream from single RGB input, generate that emulates view virtual at designated location. The most challenging issue problem corrected often needs out-of-plane head rotations. To address challenge, reconstruct 3D shape re-render it into synthesized frames according to output with natural appearance real time, propose several novel techniques including accurate eyebrow reconstruction, high-quality blending image background, template-based reconstruction glasses. Our system works well for different lighting conditions skin tones, handle users wearing Extensive experiments user studies demonstrate our method provides results.

Real-Time Multi-View Face Detection

In this paper, we present a detector-pyramid architecture for real-time multi-view face detection. Using a coarse to fine strategy, the full view is partitioned into finer and finer views. Each face detector in the pyramid detects faces of its respective view range. Its training is performed by using a new meta booting learning algorithm. This results in the first real-time multi-view face dete...

Real-time View Transition between Cameras Having Different Perspectives

This paper introduces a novel method for real-time view transition between two cameras having different perspectives. An important feature of our method is correspondences free, so that even when the viewpoints of two cameras are quite different, it still work well as long as monitoring areas of two cameras are adjacent in the real world. Using camera calibration data and a pre-constructed back...

Real-time View-based Face Alignment using Active Wavelet Networks

The Active Wavelet Network (AWN) [9] approach was recently proposed for automatic face alignment, showing advantages over Active Appearance Models (AAM), such as more robustness against partial occlusions and illumination changes. In this paper, we (1) extend the AWN method to a view-based approach, (2) verify the robustness of our algorithm with respect to unseen views in a large dataset and (...

Robust, Real-Time 3D Face Tracking from a Monocular View

This paper addresses the problem of 3D face tracking from a monocular view. Dominant tracking algorithms in current literature can be classified as intensity-based or feature-based methods. Intensity-based methods track 3D faces based on the brightness constraint, assuming constant intensity of the face across adjacent frames. Feature-based trackers use local 2D features to determine sparse pai...

Wearable Cameras for Real-Time Activity Annotation

Google Glass has potential to be a real-time data capture and annotation tool. With professional sports as a use-case, we present a platform which helps a football coach capture and annotate interesting events using Google Glass. In our implementation, an interesting event is indicated by a predefined hand gesture or motion, and our platform can automatically detect these gestures in a video wi...
