Real Time Chemical Imaging of a Working Catalytic Membrane Reactor
This section contains details regarding the preparation of catalyst and membranes and further details on the experimental setup (including two photographs of the XRD-CT experimental setup), a comment relating to an artefact present within this XRD-CT, normalised summed intensity changes (as a companion to Figure 2), XRD-CT data focusing on the BCFZ membrane, a diffraction pattern to illustrate ...
متن کاملReal time chemical imaging of a working catalytic membrane reactor during oxidative coupling of methane.
We report the results from an operando XRD-CT study of a working catalytic membrane reactor for the oxidative coupling of methane. These results reveal the importance of the evolving solid state chemistry during catalytic reaction, particularly the chemical interaction between the catalyst and the oxygen transport membrane.
متن کاملSimulation of a Neutron Detector for Real Time Imaging Applications
Monte Carlo Method is used to simulate a double layer gadolinium-amorphous silicon thermal neutron detector. The detector fabricated in pixel array configuration has various applications including neutron imaging. According to the simulation results, a detector consisting of a gadolinium (Gd) film with thickness of 2-4 ~m, sandwiched properly with two layers of sufficiently thick (-30 ?µm) hydr...
متن کاملCatalytic membrane-installed microchannel reactors for one-second allylic arylation.
A variety of catalytic membranes of palladium-complexes with linear polymer ligands were prepared inside a microchannel reactor via coordinative and ionic molecular convolution to provide catalytic membrane-installed microdevices, which were applied to the instantaneous allylic arylation reaction of allylic esters and aryl boron reagents under microflow conditions to afford the corresponding co...
متن کاملReverse Flow Catalytic Membrane Reactors for Energy Efficient Syngas Production
Natural gas is becoming an increasingly important energy source, due to the increasing energy demands and declining oil reserves, whereas large volumes of natural gas are still widely available at remote locations. In view of the existing infrastructure for liquid fuels, natural gas is most efficiently used in the transport sector by converting it to liquid fuels via the Gas-To-Liquid process. ...
