Reactive Distillation for the Production of Cyclohexanol

Cyclohexanol is an organic chemical intermediate product widely used in chemical<br /> industry and commonly produced by cyclohexene hydration. Because of the low mutual<br solubility water, reaction limited equilibrium,<br which has disadvantage conversion cyclohexene. In this paper, hydration catalysed A-36 cation exchange resin catalyst was analysed Aspen Plus V8.6 simulation software presence isophorone as cosolvent.<br The process model synthesising cyclohexanol catalytic distillation verified by<br experiments. experiments were carried out using process<br model, suitable operating conditions column obtained. These are: ketene feed ratio 1.5, alkene/water 0.5, stage trays 5,<br 12, stripping 6, at 18th tray, water<br 5th reflux 3, (D/F) 0.25. Under these<br conditions, can reach 40.63 %.
