چکیده

To achieve the efficient resource treatment of aromatic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) high toxicity, this work chose anisole as a representative pollutant and investigated its removal by an MCM–41-supported sulfuric acid (SSA/MCM–41) adsorbent. The results indicate that SSA/MCM–41 adsorbent exhibited reactive temperature range 110–140 °C, in which ratio (Xa) was greater than 95%. collected breakthrough adsorption data fit dose–response model. In comprehensive analysis process conditions, reducing flow rate enhanced theoretical time capacity (tB,th QB,th), while inlet concentration or raising bed height resulted first increasing then slightly decreasing trend QB,th. As result, highest tB,th QB,th were 73.82 min 247.56 mg g?1, respectively. FTIR 1H/13C NMR demonstrate adsorbed products included both 4-methoxybenzenesulfonic 1-methoxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)sulfonylbenzene. Accordingly, mechanism proposed. Meanwhile, spent could be desorbed regenerated for cyclic reuse. It is believed obtained will assist promoting application novel gas–solid approach VOC treatment.

Kinetics of Sphalerite Leaching by Sodium Nitrate in Sulfuric Acid

In the present work, the extraction of zinc from a sphalerite concentrate using sodium nitrate as an oxidant in a sulfuric acid solution was investigated. The effective parameters such as the temperature, sulfuric acid and sodium nitrite concentrations, stirring speed, particle size, and solid/liquid (S/L) ratio were analyzed. The dissolution rate increased with increase in the sulfuric acid an...

CO2 Adsorption by para-Nitroaniline Sulfuric Acid-Derived Porous Carbon Foam

The expansion product from the sulfuric acid dehydration of para-nitroaniline has been characterized and studied for CO2 adsorption. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) characterization of the foam indicates that both N and S contents (15 and 9 wt%, respectively) are comparable to those separately reported for nitrogenor sulfur-containing porous carbon materials. The analysis of the XPS ...

Adsorption of formaldehyde by various surfaces during gaseous decontamination.

Study of the effect of atmospheric relative humity (RH) on the adsorption of paraformaldehyde-generated formaldehyde gas on various surfaces and the effect of the adsorbed formaldehyde on the death rate of bacterial spores showed that increasing the RH caused a corresponding increase of formaldehyde levels on all surfaces. The amount peaked at 83% RH. The levels obtained at 100% RH were slightl...
