Methanation of both CO and CO2 with electrolysis-sourced hydrogen is a key step in power-to-gas technologies nickel as the most prominent catalyst. Here, detailed, thermodynamically consistent reaction mechanism for methanation reactions over Ni-based catalysts presented. This microkinetic model based on mean-field approximation comprises 42 among 19 species. The was developed experiments from number studies powder monolith catalysts.
