Rate of perceived exertion and cardiovascular response of community dwelling older adults to six-minute walk test

Objectives: This study was designed to determine the rate of perceived exertion, cardiovascular responses community dwelling older adults six minutes' walk (6MWT) and possible gender difference.
 Methods: One hundred three apparently healthy adults, aged 60 years above participated in study. Rate exertion (RPE) (blood pressure, peripheral capillary oxygen saturation (SPO2 ) pulse rate) were measured pre post 6MWT.
 Results: There a significant increase (p = 0.01) RPE among all participants after 6MWT. no difference (p>0.05) parameters 6MWT but with SPO2 between male female participants. 
 Conclusion: Among sort hard influence on Systolic Blood Pressure following Female showed higher than males.
