چکیده
Abstract
Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is one of the most common causes death due to in world. Cardiovascular complications CO includes myocardial infarction, left ventricular dysfunction, cardiogenic shock, and various arrhythmias. Carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) levels do not always correlate with severity symptoms. In this article, We present a patient who developed rare ST elevated acute infarction triggered by was treated coronary angiography.

Carbon monoxide (CO) exposure is a common cause of unintentional poisoning. Clinical manifestation usually involve central nervous and cardio-vascular systems as brain and heart are very sensitive to hypoxia. Myocardial infarction pathogenesis during CO intoxication is complex. Generalised tissue hypoxia and increased thrombotic tendency may play an important role. A case of ST-segment elevatio...
متن کاملST Elevation Myocardial Infarction Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.
Carbon monoxide is formed as a result of combustion of any carbon compound and can lead to hypoxia in many organs including the brain and the heart. Carbon monoxide poisoning in the United States is the leading cause of the fatal poisonings. In this study we present a case with no-known accompanying disease in the light of literature where myocardial infarction was developed as a result of carb...
متن کاملMyocardial Rupture following Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
We present the first case of severe cardiotoxicity of carbon monoxide leading to myocardial rupture and fatal outcome. 83-year-old woman was hospitalized 4 hours after the fire in her house with no respiratory or cardiac symptoms. After two days, she has suffered sudden collapse leading to cardiac arrest. Postmortem examination revealed intramural haemorrhage with myocardial rupture at the apex...
متن کاملVictim of carbon monoxide poisoning identified by carbon monoxide oximetry.
BACKGROUND Carbon monoxide (CO) is known as a leading cause of unintentional poisoning death in many countries. Diagnosis is usually made by measuring carboxyhemoglobin (COHb), but due to the non-specific symptoms, the crucial step is considering CO poisoning. A possible solution might be screening emergency department (ED) patients. A cutaneous sensor that measures oxygen and CO saturation sim...
متن کاملMass carbon monoxide poisoning.
The largest occurrence of carbon monoxide poisoning in Britain demonstrates the potential for mass accidental poisoning. It emphasises the need for strict public health controls and the importance of good liaison between emergency services to ensure that such events are quickly recognised and that the necessary resources are organised.
