Ransom Dilemma: An ethical problem for the government?

The ransom dilemma problem all around the world raises not only moral concerns for government, but also society as a whole in whether to save kidnapped person or do nothing against it. While U.S. and U.K. deal with this according its strict laws regulations ruthlessly order preserve integrity of society, European Union deals it more flexible is oriented toward human-centered approach. This paper will try analyze ethical from three diverging viewpoints. These concern consequentialist/utilitarian viewpoints deontological consequentialists support argument that states ought security their citizens without giving demands terrorists an exchange person, deontologists on other hand put human values individual rights forefront urges people no matter what circumstances they are in. Here, we refer arguments presented by ethicists such Jeremy Bentham John Stuart Mill well experts like Peter Singer.
