Ranking of Fuzzy Numbers on the Basis of New Fuzzy Distance

Abstract Real-world problems often deal with uncertainties related to imprecision and vagueness, for which fuzzy modeling has provided a successful approach. Ranking numbers is necessary complex task in multiple processes, such as decision making. To facilitate the of ranking numbers, it been introduced an approach construct distances from classical interval because their α-cuts are continuous intervals. Usually, extant use endpoints or midpoints, leading results that might not reflect correct distance information loss. This paper introduces new based on novel considers all points within intervals by using concept integration calculate average between belonging two intervals, respectively. Subsequently, series proposed defined proved. A method then presented. Finally, validity effectiveness will be demonstrated comparative analysis numerical examples.
