Ranking Locations for Hydrogen Production Using Hybrid Wind-Solar: A Case Study

Observing the growing energy demand of modern societies, many countries have recognized security as a looming problem and renewable energies solution to this issue. Renewable hydrogen production is an excellent method for storage transfer generated by intermittent sources such wind solar so that they can be used at place time our choosing. In study, suitability 15 cities in Fars province, Iran, was investigated compared use multiple multi-criteria decision-making methods including ARAS, SAW, CODAS, TOPSIS. The obtained rankings were aggregated rank averaging, Borda method, Copeland method. Finally, partially ordered set ranking technique reach general consensus about ranking. criteria affect found potential, population, air temperature, natural disasters, altitude, relative humidity, land cost, skilled labor, infrastructure, topographic condition, distance from main roads. These weighted using best–worst (BWM) based on data collected questionnaire. Solar potential estimated Angstrom model. Wind Weibull distribution function each month independently. results showed Izadkhast most suitable location studied area.
