RAMSEES: A Model of the Atmospheric Radiative Environment Based on Geant4 Simulation of Extensive Air Shower

The device downscaling of electronic components has given rise to the need consider specific failures in onboard airplane electronics. Single Event Effects (SEE) are a kind that occur due radiation atmosphere. For purpose ensuring reliability, there is clear for new tools predict SEE rate, at both avionic altitudes and ground level. In this work, we develop tool: RAMSEES (Radiation Atmospheric Model Simulation), which simulates atmospheric radiative environment induced by cosmic rays. This multiscale multi-physics phenomenon simulated using Geant4 toolkit, allowing creation database characterize atmosphere as function altitude. We show simulate very high-energy particles such 100 TeV space protons, because they main contributor well Our approach shows good agreement with experimental data, standards, other models, it also points out some discrepancies, especially below 18 km can be basis estimation rate from level stratosphere, any position time.
