Radial excitation of light mesons and the γγ*→π0 transition form factor

We investigate radial excitation of the quark-antiquark pair in ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ meson and its effects on $\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{*}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ transition form factor framework light cone perturbative QCD. The existing constraints wave function lowest Fock state $|q\overline{q}⟩$ allow a sizeable pair. construct for first radially excited (the 2S state) using simple harmonic oscillator potential. distribution amplitude obtained has two nodes $x$ at low scale $Q$ thereby much strong dependence than 1S state. Contributions from this to exhibit different ${Q}^{2}$-dependence behavior ground thus can modify prediction medium-large region ${Q}^{2}$.
