Racism towards the Chinese Minority in Malaysia: Political Islam and Institutional Barriers

چکیده
Abstract Politics in Malaysia revolves around the tensions between three major ethnic groups: Malays, Chinese and Indians. After 1969 riots, country adopted an affirmative action programme widely regarded as racist towards non‐Malays. The rise of political Islam recent times has added a religious layer to institutional racism. This article looks at contemporary racism Malaysian community argues that things will get worse future owing omnipresence Malay Islamic supremacy ideology.
