چکیده

Avian pathogenic E. coli (APEC) caused avian colibacillosis is mostly common in poultry industry worldwide. APEC virulence factors lead to pathogenesis and the quorum sensing (QS) system actively involved regulation of these factors. Signaling molecules QS are known as autoinducers (AIs). In QS-1, encodes a single LuxR homolog, i.e., SdiA, but does not express LuxI an acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL) synthase producing AI-1. regulates its genes expression response exogenous AHLs, regulatory mechanisms AHL QS-1 still unknown. This study targeted CE129 isolate reference strain, Yersinia enterocolitica yenI gene was expressed into CE129. CE129/pyenI conferred ability produce signal. The SdiA mutant strain with in-frame sdiA (AHL receptor) deletion constructed by λRed recombination system, which lost sense AHL. goal this explore function upon elucidate effect QS-1/AHL signals strain. Adherence invasion assays revealed that affected adherence survival ability. biofilm formation also suppressed under C6HSL. Interestingly, exhibited different phenotypes acid tolerance flagella when compared enterotoxigenic or enterohemorrhagic (ETEC EHEC, respectively). These findings enhance our understanding mechanism.

The Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum-sensing molecule N-(3-oxododecanoyl)homoserine lactone contributes to virulence and induces inflammation in vivo.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa has two well-characterized quorum-sensing systems, Las and Rhl. These systems are composed of LuxR-type proteins, LasR and RhlR, and two acyl homoserine lactone (AHL) synthases, LasI and RhlI. LasI catalyzes the synthesis of N-(3-oxododecanoyl)homoserine lactone (3O-C12-HSL), whereas RhlI catalyzes the synthesis of N-butyryl-homoserine lactone. There is little known about...

Inhibiting N-acyl-homoserine lactone synthesis and quenching Pseudomonas quinolone quorum sensing to attenuate virulence

Bacteria sense their own population size, tune the expression of responding genes, and behave accordingly to environmental stimuli by secreting signaling molecules. This phenomenon is termed as quorum sensing (QS). By exogenously manipulating the signal transduction bacterial population behaviors could be controlled, which may be done through quorum quenching (QQ). QS related regulatory network...

Acyl homoserine-lactone quorum-sensing signal generation.

Acyl homoserine lactones (acyl-HSLs) are important intercellular signaling molecules used by many bacteria to monitor their population density in quorum-sensing control of gene expression. These signals are synthesized by members of the LuxI family of proteins. To understand the mechanism of acyl-HSL synthesis we have purified the Pseudomonas aeruginosa RhlI protein and analyzed the kinetics of...

The Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum-sensing signal molecule N-(3-oxododecanoyl)-L-homoserine lactone has immunomodulatory activity.

Diverse gram-negative bacterial cells communicate with each other by using diffusible N-acyl homoserine lactone (AHL) signal molecules to coordinate gene expression with cell population density. Accumulation of AHLs above a threshold concentration renders the population "quorate," and the appropriate target gene is activated. In pathogenic bacteria, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, AHL-mediated ...
