Quintuplet Pregnancy Following Transfer of Three Embryos. A Case Report

چکیده
This is a rare case of quintuplet pregnancy two sets Monozygotic Twins (MZT) co-existing with singleton resulting from transfer three cleaved embryos. To ameliorate the adverse implications multiple gestation, fetal reduction to twins by intracardiac puncture and aspiration was carried out at 11 weeks’ gestation. The patient has now delivered healthy babies (a boy girl) 35 weeks 6 days lower segment caesarean section. Fetal high order pregnancies remains relatively best option reduce risks for mother her despite ethical psychological dilemmas associated it. Patients undergoing assisted conception treatment can be small but definite risk monozygotic twinning, therefore, clinicians should keep this in mind when counseling patients regarding number embryos placed.
