Abstract We discuss the geometry of unit ball—specifically, structure its extreme points (if any)—in subspaces $$L^1$$ L 1 and $$L^\infty $$ ∞ on circle that are formed by functions with prescribed spectral gaps. A similar issue is considered for kernels Toeplitz operators in $$H^\infty H .
