Quaternary Phosphonium Salt-functionalized Graphene Filter for Effective Water Disinfection

Abstract To access safe water, a facile and low-cost quaternary phosphonium salt-functionalized graphene filter (PYQP-G filter) was developed via pi-pi stacking interaction between perylene surface. We first synthesized new derivative with two QPS groups at its amide sides denoted as PYQP. Next, shellac used carbon source to coat the material onto surface of porous SiO 2 substrate in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. Thus, (G-filter) obtained. Third, PYQP attached through π-π generate PYQP-G filter. Due high bacterial accumulation killing ability assembled PYQP, showed efficiency water disinfection. When concentration is blown 10 5 CFU/mL, one can purify up 500 ml water.
