Quasistatic Equilibrium Chemical Vapor Deposition of Graphene

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study reviews the majorly used chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with a focus on confined reaction configurations in which quasistatic equilibrium conditions are obtained for fabrication of graphene large size and high quality through controlled nucleation density, feedstock flux, growth rates. The confinement can also be to tune thickness, domain shape, stacking order synthetic graphene. CVD discussed include enclosure systems, inner-tube setups, sandwiched substrates, as well other types configurations. advantages limitations different presented, along ways optimize operational parameters them.

Equilibrium chemical vapor deposition growth of Bernal-stacked bilayer graphene.

Using ethanol as the carbon source, self-limiting growth of AB-stacked bilayer graphene (BLG) has been achieved on Cu via an equilibrium chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. We found that during this alcohol catalytic CVD (ACCVD) a source-gas pressure range exists to break the self-limitation of monolayer graphene on Cu, and at a certain equilibrium state it prefers to form uniform BLG with...

Direct chemical vapor deposition of graphene on dielectric surfaces.

Direct deposition of graphene on various dielectric substrates is demonstrated using a single-step chemical vapor deposition process. Single-layer graphene is formed through surface catalytic decomposition of hydrocarbon precursors on thin copper films predeposited on dielectric substrates. The copper films dewet and evaporate during or immediately after graphene growth, resulting in graphene d...
