Infrared laser photo-acoustic spectroscopy provides very high sensitivity of a gas sample analysis when high-power tunable radiation sources and resonant detectors (PADs) are used. In the PAD, acoustic signal generated by absorbed in measurement chamber is amplified proportionally to Q-factor resonator. But, compact lasers (with power above 100 mW) still not widely spread terahertz spectral range. One ways achieve an acceptable using PADs with Q-factor. The latter can be achieved PAD quartz tuning fork. current state this field presented review.
