Quantum phases for electric charges and electric (magnetic) dipoles: physical meaning and implication

We analyse the physical meaning of quantum phase effects for point-like charges and electric (magnetic) dipoles in an electromagnetic (EM) field. At present, there are known eight such a kind: four them (the magnetic Aharonov – Bohm phases electrons, Casher moving dipole He McKellar Wilkens dipole) had been disclosed 20th century, while new recently found by our team (A. L. Kholmetskii, O. V. Missevitch, T. Yarman). In analysis these phases, we adopt that represents superposition each charge, composing dipole. this way, demonstrate failure Schrödinger equation charged particle EM field to describe effects, when standard definition momentum operator is used. further show consistent description particles achieved under appropriate re-definition operator, where canonical replaced interactional momentum. Some implications result discussed.
