Quantum fluctuations of baryon number density

نویسندگان

چکیده

Quantum fluctuation expression of the baryon number for a subsystem consisting hot relativistic spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ particles are derived. These fluctuations seems to diverge in limit where system size goes zero. For broad range thermodynamic parameters numerical solutions obtained which might be helpful interpret heavy-ion experimental data.

Baryon Number Penetrability as a Measure of Isothermal Baryon Number Fluctuations in the Early Universe

We have examined the efficiency of baryon-number transport mechanism across the phase boundary in a cosmological quark-hadron phase transition through the proper estimate of baryon-number penetrability 〈Σh〉. For this purpose we have derived first the double-pair creation probability Pb in terms of single-pair creation probabilty per unit time and unit volume κm and then obtained an analytical e...

Quantum density fluctuations in classical liquids.

We discuss the density fluctuations of a fluid due to zero point motion, assuming a linear dispersion relation. We argue that density fluctuations in a fluid can be a useful analog model for better understanding fluctuations in relativistic quantum field theory. We calculate the differential cross section for light scattering by the zero point density fluctuations, and find a result proportiona...

Unifying Nucleon and Quark Dynamics at Finite Baryon Number Density

We present a model of baryonic matter which contains free constituent quarks in addition to bound constituent quarks in nucleons. In addition to the common linear σ-model we include the exchange of vector-mesons. The percentage of free quarks increases with baryon density but the nucleons resist a restoration of chiral symmetry.

Ultrafast quantum random number generation based on quantum phase fluctuations.

A quantum random number generator (QRNG) can generate true randomness by exploiting the fundamental indeterminism of quantum mechanics. Most approaches to QRNG employ single-photon detection technologies and are limited in speed. Here, we experimentally demonstrate an ultrafast QRNG at a rate over 6 Gbits/s based on the quantum phase fluctuations of a laser operating near threshold. Moreover, w...

Stochastic Isocurvature Baryon Fluctuations, Baryon Diffusion, and Primordial Nucleosynthesis

We examine effects on primordial nucleosynthesis from a truly random spatial distribution in the baryon-to-photon ratio (η). We generate stochastic fluctuation spectra characterized by different spectral indices and root-mean-square fluctuation amplitudes. For the first time we explicitly calculate the effects of baryon diffusion on the nucleosynthesis yields of such stochastic fluctuations. We...
