Quantum Dots Application in Neurodegenerative Diseases

چکیده
: Quantum dots (QDs) are nanoparticles (NPs) with electronic and optical properties such as emitting bright light fluorescence. They also carry specific characters photostability, high quantum yield, emission, size-turnable. Nowadays, a great interest is given to the extensive use of theranostic-NPs for sensing imaging, well drug delivery. Moreover, QDs may yield potential diagnosis treatment various central nervous system (CNS) diseases (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s multiple sclerosis). The blood-brain barrier (BBB) protects brain tissue. Only certain small molecules like water gases can cross BBB, whereas larger enter via receptors, but many drugs incapable passing barrier. A series advances have been achieved concerning using different NPs QDs) deliver CNS imaging. In this review, we discussed wide variety along their production, passive or active delivery therapeutic agents neurodegenerative diseases, image production.

Conductance in quantum wires by three quantum dots arrays
A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...

Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins trigger many critical events involved in cellular response, such as regulation of enzymatic activity, protein conformational change, protein-protein interaction, and cellular localization. Any malfunction of protein phosphorylation leads to a diseased state such as diabetes, cancer, and even neurodegenerative diseases. In order to comprehend the...

متن کاملExosomes: Future Perspective in Neurodegenerative Diseases
Neurodegeneration is a progressive and irreversible loss of neuronal cells in specific regions of the brain. Alzheimer Diseases (AD) Parkinson Disease (PD) are the most common forms of neurodegenerative diseases in older people. Exosomes are extracellular nanovesicles that have a key role in physiological processes such as intercellular communication, cell migration, angiogenesis, and anti-tumo...
متن کاملApplications of Quantum Dots in Cell Tracking
Tracking cells after transplantation is always one the main concerns of researchers in the field of regenerative medicine. Finding a tracer with long stability and low cytotoxicity can be considered as a solution for this issue. Semiconductor nanocrystals, also called quantum dots (QDs), have unique photophysical properties which make them as suitable candidate in this setting. Broad-range exci...
