Quantitatively Estimating of InSAR Decorrelation Based on Landsat-Derived NDVI

As a by-product of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR, InSAR) technique, interferometric coherence is measure the decorrelation noise for InSAR observation, where lower value, more serious noise. In densely vegetated area, value could be too low to obtain any valuable signals, leading degradation performance and possible waste expensive SAR data. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) vegetation coverage can estimated from freely available optical satellite images. this paper, multi-stage model established quantitatively estimate vegetable areas based on Landsat-derived NDVI prior acquisition The modeling process being investigated with L-band ALOS-1/PALSAR-1 data Landsat-5 acquired in Meitanba area Hunan Province, China.
