چکیده
Abstract Defining and measuring progress in adaptation are important questions for climate science, policy, practice. Here, we assess the of urban planning 327 European cities between 2005 2020 using three ‘ADAptation plan Quality Assessment’ indices, called ADAQA-1/ 2/ 3, that combine six quality principles. Half have an its significantly increased over time. However, generally, is still low many cities. Participation monitoring evaluation particularly weak aspects together with ‘consistency’. Consistency connects impacts vulnerabilities goals, planned measures, actions, evaluation, participation processes. a key factor overall plans. To help evaluate plans policies promote learning, suggest incorporating our ADAptation Assessment indices into portfolio assessments tracking methodologies.

Health Aspects of Climate Change in Cities with Mediterranean Climate, and Local Adaptation Plans
Cities with a Mediterranean-type climate (Med-cities) are particularly susceptible to health risks from climate change since they are located in biogeographical hot-spots that experience some of the strongest effects of the changing climate. The study aims to highlight health impacts of climate change in Med-cities, analyze local climate adaptation plans and make adaptation policy recommendatio...
متن کاملRobustness via run-time adaptation of contingent plans
In this paper, we discuss our approach to making the behavior of planetary rovers more robust for the purpose of increased productivity. Due to the inherent uncertainty in rover exploration, the traditional approach to rover control is conservative, limiting the autonomous operation of the rover and sacri cing performance for safety. Our objective is to increase the science productivity possibl...
متن کاملIntegrating Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation with Urban planning for a Livable city in Tehran
Climate change impacts are seen within growing numbers of cities in low- and middle-income countries, so there is growing interest in the adaptation and mitigation plans and programs put forward by city authorities. This paper aims to provide a better understanding of the constraints which cities face them in this subject by analyzing the case of Tehran. City has a commitment to decentralizatio...
متن کاملSpace-Time Discounting in Climate Change Adaptation
Background: Space-Time Discounting Discounting is typically defined as the process of comparing the values of costs and benefits that occur at different times. This definition neglects where costs and benefits occur. For example, we might discount future costs and benefits because we care less about the welfare of people in the future, but we might also discount the welfare of people in differe...
