QTL mapping for resistance to Cercospora sojina in Essex Forrest soybean (Glycine max L.) lines

چکیده
Frogeye leafspot (FLS), caused by Cercospora sojina, is observed as red-brown lesions on leaves that can coalesce and decrease the photosynthetic ability of soybeans. The average yield loss due to Leaf Spot estimated at approximately 40% in established fields, whereas 100% incidence was previously recorded. QoI inhibitor fungicides were considered an effective control method, but pathogen quickly evolved thrive post-application. This trait spread across North America. Therefore, genetic host resistance likely most method prevent disease. To achieve this goal, we aimed screen 91 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) ‘Essex’ × ‘Forrest’ under greenhouse conditions for FLS used single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers identify associated quantitative loci (QTL). Two QTL mapped study. One reported Chr. 13 coincides with reported, 19 novel. Overall, study will help better understand underlying mechanisms soybean C. sojina well develop varieties using marker assisted selection. Key words: loci, Spot, Essex Forrest, disease resistance, genotypic phenotypic traits.

qtl mapping for some agronomic traits in soybean (glycine max)
many qtls related to agronomic triats have been registered in soybean (glycine max) by different research groups during the last decade. due to the interaction effects of qtls, environmental and genetic backgrounds on the emergence of qtls and also to confirm the previous results as well as to identify new qtls, further studies are still required. in order to map qtl which control some agronomi...
متن کاملQTL Mapping of Domestication-related Traits in Soybean (Glycine max)
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Understanding the genetic basis underlying domestication-related traits (DRTs) is important in order to use wild germplasm efficiently for improving yield, stress tolerance and quality of crops. This study was conducted to characterize the genetic basis of DRTs in soybean (Glycine max) using quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping. METHODS A population of 96 recombinant inb...
متن کاملQTL Mapping for Major Agronomic Traits across Two Years in Soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.)
The agronomic traits, such as days to flowering and maturity, plant height, 100-seed weight and seed filling period, are quantitatively inherited and important characters in soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.). A total of 126 F5 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) developed from the cross of PI 171451×Hwaeomputkong were used to identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for days to flowering (FD), days to ...
متن کاملSoybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr].
In this chapter we describe an Agrobacterium tumefaciens transformation method of soybean that utilizes mature half seeds and regeneration from the cotyledonary node region. This method results in fertile transformed soybean plants and transgenic seed in approximately 9 months. Using mature half seeds as starting material has proven to be a reliable method that does not require additional wound...
متن کاملMapping an aphid resistance gene in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] P746.
Soybean aphid (SA: Aphis glycines Matsumura) is one of the most serious pests of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] worldwide. A single dominant gene was found to control SA resistance in soybean line P746, which exhibits antibiosis resistance. This study aimed to define the location of the SA resistance gene in P746. A F2:3 mapping population, including 312 individuals, was created based on the ...
