چکیده
Abstract Central nervous system (CNS) tumors are the second most common pediatric cancer; survivors develop chronic medical conditions and complex care needs. While telemedicine is accelerating, its effectiveness has not been assessed in CNS tumor survivors. We evaluated experiences of those seen through our Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Survivorship Clinic at Dana-Farber/ Boston Children’s Cancer Blood Disorder Center. Patients caregivers who had a multi-disciplinary survivorship appointment from January 2021 March 2022 were invited to participate an anonymous survey which included questions on demographics, travel, equipment, with telehealth, preferences for telehealth utilization. Thirty-three adult 41 participated study (45% response rate). The majority respondents agreed or strongly that visits started time (97%, Nf65), scheduling was convenient Nf59), clinicians explained things easy-to-understand way listened carefully addressed concerns (93%, Nf56), spent enough them (95%, Nf56). However, only 58% (Nf35) they would like continue 48% (Nf32) as effective office visits. In univariable analysis, reported better regards travel (82%, Nf60), convenience (68%, Nf50), wait (70%, ease (56%, Nf40), while personal connection (58%, Nf41). Survivors more likely than prefer (72% vs 46%, p=0.027). difficulties using (15%, Nf11) asking normally ask clinic (19%, Nf14). may improve efficiency accessibility survivors, initiatives necessary optimize patient satisfaction.

Background: In this study, we examined the epidemiologic characteristics of childhood brain tumors in patients referred to MAHAK Pediatric Cancer Treatment and Research Center (one of the main national referral centers for childhood malignancies in Iran) for treatment. Materials and Methods: This cohort (simple sampling) study consisted of 198 children less than 15 year old with CNS tumor ref...
متن کاملPediatric central nervous system posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorder.
Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder complicates approximately 1% of all renal transplants. The usual site of occurrence is within the abdomen, thorax, allograft, or head and neck. Central nervous system involvement is uncommon but, when present, occurs in isolation, sparing other organ systems. Few articles in the radiology literature have focused on the acute and follow-up central ner...
متن کاملADENOSINE IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
Besides being a metabolite of nucleotides like ATP, adenosine is a mediator of neuronal function in the central nervous system. Its actions are mediated by at least three extracellular receptors. In this review different aspects of adenosine such as biosynthesis, release, inactivation and its receptors are discussed. It also covers pre- and postsynaptic effects as well as postreceptor mecha...
متن کاملP124: Listeriosis in Central Nervous System
Listeriosis is one of the CNS inflammatory diseases which is happened majority in the form of sporadic. Listeriosis is ingested with the food. Infection occurrence in an exposed person depends on the number of organisms ingested, the virulence of the organisms strain and the individual condition. It is known that Listeriosis has decisive importance as an infection which the cellular immunodefen...
