چکیده
The co-production of bio-char and upgraded bio-oil by fast pyrolysis raw sulfuric-acid pretreated agro-industrial wastes (corn cob, sugarcane bagasse sunflower seed hull) was investigated to valorize as sources value-added products (VAPs) following the circular bio-economy system. To this end, proximate elemental analyses were performed, adsorption properties determined in products. Bio-char yields from ranged 28–33% 30–35%, respectively. For all wastes, acid pretreatment increased solid fraction caused a reduction liquid one, compared untreated wastes. Pyrolysis led bio-chars bio-oils with different applications. Bio-chars could be put for soil amendment, primarily due high ashes concentration, mesoporosity, elevated cation exchange capacity; whereas, water addition, leading source carrying out reforming reactions context hydrogen production. Properties washed biomasses enabled them pollutant remediation, their specific surface microporosity features. corresponding bio-liquid stable-to-storage material, being practical furfural. These findings emphasize that lignocellulosic can envisaged starting materials producing VAPs via pyrolysis.

Sustainable Production of Bio-Combustibles from Pyrolysis of Agro-Industrial Wastes
Evaluation of the sustainability of biomass pyrolysis requires a thorough assessment of the product yields and energy densities. With this purpose, a laboratory scale fixed bed reactor (FBR) was adapted from the standard Gray-King (GK) assay test on coal to conduct fixed bed pyrolysis experiments on agricultural and agro-industrial by-products. The present study provides results on the pyrolysi...

background and objectives: in the era of global industrialization, enzymes are being used extensively in the various sectors including food processing. owing to the high price of enzymes, various initiatives have been undertaken by the r&d; sector for the development of new processes or improvement in the existing processes for production of cost effective enzymes. with the advancement in the f...
متن کاملPyrolysis of Seaweeds for Bio-oil and Bio-char Production
A pyrolysis study on a species of brown algae Saccharina japonica was carried out in a fixed-bed reactor. The yields of bio-oil and bio-char obtained at 450 C were 47 % and 33 %, respectively. The raw S, japonica, ethanol and acid pretreated samples and the resulting pyrolysis products were also characterized with respect to proximate and ultimate analysis, and higher heating value. The crude b...
متن کاملCharacterization of Bio-Oil, Syn-Gas and Bio-Char from Switchgrass Pyrolysis at Various Temperatures
Pyrolitic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass, such as switchgrass and other agricultural residues, to bio-fuels is being considered for national energy security and for environmental advantages. Bio-oil, syngas and bio-char were produced and characterized from switchgrass at 400, 500 and 600 0C by pyrolysis. Bio-oil yield increased from 22 to 37%, syn-gas yield increased from 8 to 26%, and b...
