PVPBC: Privacy- and Verifiability-Preserving E-Voting Based on Permissioned Blockchain

چکیده

Privacy and verifiability are crucial security requirements in e-voting systems combining them is considered to be a challenge given that they seem contradictory. On one hand, privacy means cast votes cannot traced the corresponding voters. other linkability of voters their requirement which has consequence voter able check vote election result. These two contradictory features can addressed by adopting privacy-preserving cryptographic primitives, at same time as achieving privacy, achieve verifiability. Many end-to-end schemes support have need for some action. This makes ballot casting more complex We propose PVPBC voting system, an system preserves without affecting usability. The uses effective distributed method authorization, based on revocable anonymity, making use permissioned ledger smart contract. In addition, underlying satisfies using Selene scheme. protocol verifiable protocol. It publishes plaintext accompanied tracking numbers. enables confirm been captured correctly system. Numerical experiments claim scales well function number candidates. particular, PVPBC’s authorization increases linearly population size. average latency associated with accessing also incurred when valid authentication transaction created sent DLT network 6.275 ms. Empirical results suggest cost GBP storing encrypted alongside tracker commitment linear candidates, attractive aspect PVPBC.

Transparent Voting Platform Based on Permissioned Blockchain

Since 2004, different research was handling the challenges in the centralized voting systems, e-voting protocols and recently the decentralized voting. So electronic voting puts forward some difficulties regarding the voter anonymity, the secure casting of the votes and to prevent the voting process from frauding. The Decentralized property of the technology called"blockchain"could have the sol...

An E-voting Protocol Based on Blockchain

Because of the properties such as transparency, decentralization, irreversibility, nonrepudiation, etc., blockchain is not only a fundamental technology of great interest in its own right, but also has large potential when integrated into many other areas. In this paper, based on the blockchain technology, we propose a decentralized e-voting protocol, without the existence of a trusted third pa...

Privacy and verifiability in electronic voting

Privacy and verifiability refer to fundamental principles of democratic elections and therefore belong to the set of established security requirements which each electronic voting scheme is expected to meet. However, very different ideas and opinions about privacy and verifiability exist in the scientific community, which shows that both properties are not well understood yet. Moreover, althoug...

Verifiability Notions for E-Voting Protocols

There have been intensive research efforts in the last two decades or so to design and deploy electronic voting (e-voting) protocols/systems which allow voters and/or external auditors to check that the votes were counted correctly. This security property, which not least was motivated by numerous problems in even national elections, is called verifiability. It is meant to defend against voting...

Classifying Privacy and Verifiability Requirements for Electronic Voting

Voter privacy and verifiability are fundamental security concepts for electronic voting. Existing literature on electronic voting provides many definitions and interpretations of these concepts, both informal and formal. While the informal definitions are often vague and imprecise, the formal definitions tend to be very complex and restricted in their scope as they are usually tailored for spec...
