چکیده

We propose a method for the generation of transverse valley currents, which is based on pure crossed Andreev reflection (pCAR) in superconducting hybrid junctions composed gapped $\ensuremath{\alpha}\ensuremath{-}{\mathcal{T}}_{3}$ lattices with ferromagnet-induced exchange interaction. The angle-resolved pCAR probability asymmetric given valley, resulting currents zero net charge. This assisted charge-valley conversion highly efficient Hall angle reaching an order unity, suggesting potential applications valleytronic devices.

Crossed Andreev reflection in a graphene bipolar transistor.

We investigate the crossed Andreev reflections between two graphene leads connected by a narrow superconductor. When the leads are, respectively, of the n and p type, we find that electron elastic cotunneling and local Andreev reflection are both eliminated even in the absence of any valley-isospin or spin polarizations. We further predict oscillations of both diagonal and cross conductances as...

Evidence for crossed Andreev reflection in superconductor-ferromagnet hybrid structures.

We have measured the nonlocal resistance of aluminum-iron spin-valve structures fabricated by e-beam lithography and shadow evaporation. The sample geometry consists of an aluminum bar with two or more ferromagnetic wires forming point contacts to the aluminum at varying distances from each other. In the normal state of aluminum, we observe a spin-valve signal which allows us to control the rel...

Circuit theory for crossed Andreev reflection and nonlocal conductance

Nonlocal currents, in devices where two normal-metal terminals are contacted to a superconductor, are determined using the circuit theory of mesoscopic superconductivity. We calculate the conductance associated with crossed Andreev reflection and electron transfer between the two normal-metal terminals, in addition to the conductance from direct Andreev reflection and quasiparticle tunneling. D...

Charge imbalance, crossed Andreev reflection and elastic co-tunnelling in ferromagnet/superconductor/normal-metal structures

We examine here electronic transport in nanoscale systems where normal and ferromagnetic probes are attached to a conventional superconductor. While reviewing the long-studied effects of Andreev reflection and charge imbalance, we concentrate on two recently predicted coherent, nonlocal processes known as crossed Andreev reflection and elastic co-tunnelling. These processes can occur when two s...
