A graph is balanced if it is bipartite and every induced cycle has length divisible by four. In his book [6], Gérard Cornuéjols proposed a number of open questions, offering $5000 for the solution of any of them. Here we solve three of them, about balanced graphs.

Numerical Solution of One-Dimensional Stefan-Like Problems Using Three Time-Level Method

We introduce formulation based on three timelevel finitedifference method for onedimensional Stefanlike problems. Matrix method stability analysis of equations is also investigated. The computational results obtained by the present method are in excellent agreement with the results reported previously by the other authors.
