Public policy recommendations for promoting female entrepreneurship in Europe

From 2021 onwards, female entrepreneurship is expected to grow very substantially as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The introduction teleworking and staggered hours in many countries at national or workplace level will make possible conciliation between labour family life. purpose this paper identify most influential explanatory factors behaviour Europe so subsequently propose efficient economic policy measures promote it. distinction opportunity necessity entrepreneurs have been considered since both motivation are different each case. 15 econometric models using panel data method for sample 20 previously selected European (grouped by their GDP level) during period 2001 2018 estimated determine which affect necessity-based entrepreneurship. empirical analysis used demonstrates that more women enter into due rather than pursuit with higher levels lower GDP. In context, following should be implemented Europe: optimization government spending (training courses mentoring, public procurement, stronger networks, support reconciling business life, etc.), incentives subsidizing high interest rates accessing financing, improvement education increase confidence themselves own entrepreneurial capabilities.
