چکیده

Gynecological cancers (GCs) include cervical, uterine, ovarian, vulvar and vaginal cancer. For women in China, 2 of the 10 most common are GCs (8th: cervical cancer, incidence rate: 3.96%; 10th: ovarian 2.91%). These can lead to enormous psychological economic burdens. Phosphatase tensin homolog (PTEN) gene protein kinase B (AKT) mammalian target rapamycin (mTOR) pathway widely involved development GCs, an imbalance regulatory T cells (Treg) cancer micro-environment mediated by PTEN AKT/mTOR was shown cell immune escape, growth metastasis. Considering that pathogenesis escape remains unclear, this review article intends provide update field. We made a comprehensive search several databases, including Web Science, MEDLINE, Ovid Cochrane Database Systematic Reviews, conducted from inception March 2022. The strategy included combinations following medical terms: gynecological cancers, uterine gene, pathway, escape. found currently mechanism is not fully clear. However, activation signaling Treg caused function loss occurrence related prognosis patients. This presented latest research progress on

PTEN Gene Expression and Its Association with rs10490920 SNP in Breast Cancer

Introduction: The PTEN gene, also known as MMAC1 or TEP1, is a tumor suppressor gene. One of the important polymorphisms of this gene is the rs10490920 SNP. The purpose of this study was to determine the PTEN gene expression and its relation to changes in rs10490920 polymorphism in breast cancer. Methods: In this study, 40 breast cancer patients and 10 healthy controls were considered. The expr...

Update on immune checkpoint inhibitors in gynecological cancers

In recent years, progress in our understanding of immune-modulatory signaling pathways in immune cells and the tumor microenvironment (TME) has led to rejuvenated interest in cancer immunotherapy. In particular, immunotherapy targeting the immune checkpoint receptors such as cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), programmed cell-death 1 (PD-1), and programmed cell-death ligand 1 ...

Pharmacogenomic Profiling of the PI3K/PTEN Pathway in Sporadic Breast Cancer

Background: Pharmacogenomics is the study of genetic variations among individuals to predict the probability that a patient will respond to single or multidrug chemotherapy. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women worldwide. Treatment of breast cancer by application of biological rationales gives us the ability to match the correct pharmacology to individual tumour genetic p...
