P,T-violating nuclear matrix elements in the one-meson exchange approximation.
Expressions for the P,T-violating NN potentials are derived for π, ρ and ω exchange. The nuclear matrix elements for ρ and ω exchange are shown to be greatly suppressed, so that, under the assumption of comparable coupling constants, π exchange would dominate by two orders of magnitude. The ratio of P,T-violating to P-violating matrix elements is found to remain approximately constant across th...
متن کاملWeak Matrix Elements and K-meson Physics
Kaon Physics is a very complicated blend of Ultraviolet and Infrared effects which still defies complete physical understanding. The problem consists in the large enhancement (≈ 20) of the ∆I = 12 amplitude with respect to the ∆I = 32 one. Being a process involving hadrons, Kdecay must be treated non-perturbatively, so that lattice discretization is the ideal tool to deal with this problem. In ...

متن کاملNuclear Saturation with in-Medium Meson Exchange Interactions
We show that the assumption of dropping meson masses together with conventional many-body e ects, implemented in the relativistic Dirac-Brueckner formalism, explains nuclear saturation. We use a microscopic model for correlated 2 exchange and include the standard many-body e ects on the in-medium pion propagation, which initially increase the attractive nucleon-nucleon (NN) potential with densi...
متن کاملCPT-violating Observables in Meson Decays
We present a general model-independent and rephase-invariant formalism that cleanly relates CP and CPT noninvariant observables to the fundamental parameters. Different types of CP and CPT violations in the K0-, B0-, B0 s and D 0-systems are explicitly defined. Their importance for interpreting experimental measurements of CP and CPT violations is emphasized. In particular, we show that the tim...
