Malingering is a crucial topic in the field of psychological injury and law. Yet, extant literature void an integrated peer-reviewed source on topic. This editorial briefly describes upcoming article series journal Psychological Injury Law. The will feature vast overview topic, with multiple recommendations for improved research practice field. Issues covered include (1) definition malingering related terms, (2) use performance validity tests (PVTs) symptom (SVTs) forensic disability assessments (FDRA), (3) their appropriate cut scores test failure aggregating procedures, (4) base rate attributions FDRA, (5) ethics court, (6) position guidelines effective assessment. calls comments, responses, rebuttals views reviews presented series, so to place firmer scientific grounds.
