چکیده

Abstract Feeding Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation product (SCFP) has previously altered fecal microbiota, metabolites, and immune cell function of adult dogs. The objective this study was to further measure circulating numbers activity, antioxidant status, oxidative stress marker concentrations dogs fed SCFP in an extruded diet. Sixteen pointer (8M, 8F; mean age = 8.35 y; BW 27.13 kg) were used a randomized crossover design study. All control diet for 4 wk, then randomly assigned the or SCFP-supplemented maintain 10 wk. A 6-wk washout preceded second 10-wk experimental period with receiving opposite treatments. After baseline/washout treatment phases, pre- post-prandial blood samples collected. Oxidative measured using commercial ELISA kits, analyzed flow cytometry, mRNA expression genes RT-PCR. Change from baseline data Mixed Models procedure SAS 9.4, P< 0.05 being significant 0.10 trends. Changes unstimulated lymphocytes stimulated IFN-g secreting T-cells lower (P< 0.05) SCFP-fed dogs, while change T cells control-fed cytotoxic delta trended 0.10) serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) higher catalase other cells, markers, gene unaffected by treatment. In conclusion, have increased SOD, which supports acute-inflammatory responses aligns some stimulation data.

Immunomodulatory Effects of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Fermentation Product Supplementation on Immune Gene Expression and Lymphocyte Distribution in Immune Organs in Broilers

A study was conducted to evaluate the molecular and cellular immunomodulatory effects of a Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation product (Original XPC, Diamond V) in broilers. Our lab has previously demonstrated that broilers fed XPC generate faster and stronger antigen-specific humoral immune responses to Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccination. This study aims at investigating the mechanism...
