چکیده

The article reviews the option of how to make top pavement asphalt-concrete mixture adhere reliably base, which is underlying cement-concrete coating. bitumen-latex emulsion suggested as a binder for two layers. research aimed determine optimal layer thickness bituminous-latex be applied and achieve maximum interlayer adhesion between base. After full-scale experiments, required was 2 mm. With this binder, road layers do not delaminate shear when stressed by intensive flows vehicles moving on roads. results obtained are important construction industry suggesting formulation finding most effective applied. frost-resistant. describes experimental steps determining application at fair length. maintenance-free life roads with an base interlayered assumed get much longer.

the impact of explicit instruction of top-down reading strategies on reading comprehension of intermediate efl learners

this study investigated (a) the learners’ existing reading strategy repertoire, (b) the effect of instruction in reading strategies on learners’ strategic performance, and (c) the effect of explicit instruction in top-down reading strategies on reading comprehension ability of intermediate learners. the study was conducted with 40 intermediate efl learners in two groups of experimental and cont...

Electrical Potential between Dissimilar Clay Double Layers

A model describing the electric double layers in clay-electrolyte systems containing particles with different surface charge densities was developed and used to calculate the film thickness of water present in a clay paste. The average water film thicknesses (-18/~) calculated by considering the clay to contain 9 groups of particles of different charge densities did not differ from those calcul...

Electrical double layer interactions between dissimilar oxide surfaces with charge regulation and Stern-Grahame layers.

Models of surfaces with intrinsic ionisable amphoteric surface sites governed by the dissociation of acid-base potential determining ion species together with the capacity for the adsorption of anion and cations of the supporting electrolyte are required to describe both the results of electrokinetic and titration measurements of inorganic oxides. The Gouy-Chapman-Stern-Grahame (CGSG) model is ...

Interlayer Cation Exchange Stabilizes Polar Perovskite Surfaces

Global optimization is used to study the structure of the polar KTaO3 (001) surface. It is found that cation exchange near the surface leads to the most stable structure. This mechanism is likely to be general to metal oxides containing cations of differing charge.
