چکیده
A silicon–tungsten prototype calorimeter, for the proposed ALICE LS3-upgarde, was fabricated and tested at CERN-SPS beamline facility in year 2017. The calorimeter designed with help of GEANT4 simulation to perform a high multiplicity density environment optimised energy position resolutions incident up 200 GeV. There were several tests conducted different configurations both laboratory CERN facilities. latest series consists 20 layers, each layer consisting 6 * array 1cm2 silicon pad detector, on single 300 um thin wafer, 1 radiation length (XR) thick, 10 cm pure tungsten plates as absorbers. Data collected pion, muon, electron over wide range energies (20–180 GeV). Because large deposition within by electromagnetic showers, readout electronics need have dynamic range. Here, we will discuss performances prototype, experimented CERN-SPS, using newly developed (ANUINDRA) (up 2.6 pC) compare improvements this regard.

CMS Calorimeter Trigger/Readout Electronics for SLHC
The SLHC will be a very challenging environment for physics and for the trigger and DAQ in particular. Expected pileup multiplicies on the level of 40-200 interactions every beam crossing will flood the detector with the “ambient noise” of many low pT particles. The impact of these low pT particles is particular large for the hadron calorimeter, which has a relatively large cell size (compared ...
متن کاملThe CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter Readout
CMS is a general-purpose detector designed for use in the large hadron collider (LHC) at CERN. The electromagnetic calorimeter will play an important role in electron and photon energy measurements. The benchmark process to evaluate and optimize its performance is H −→ γγ in the intermediate mass range (90 < mH < 150 GeV). For this purpose, each element of the readout chain has to be optimized....
متن کاملCalice Electromagnetic Calorimeter Readout Status
The CALICE Electromagnetic CALorimeter (ECAL) will be a silicon-tungsten sampling calorimeter [1] with 30 layers of silicon wafers, each containing an 18×18 array of diode pads, giving 9720 channels to be read out. The signal from each pad is amplified by a Very Front End (VFE) ASIC [2] which multiplexes the signals from 18 pads onto one output line. The silicon wafers and VFE chips are mounted...
متن کاملThe CLAS Electromagnetic Calorimeter at Large Angles
The study of the response of the two modules of the large-angle electromagnetic shower calorimeter (LAC) of the CLAS detector to charged and neutral particles is reported. The results agree very well with the Monte Carlo simulation. The procedures adopted for the energy and timing calibration are also discussed, proving that the module geometry allows for simple self-calibrating energy and timi...
متن کاملA GeV at CERN SPS
The measurement of multiple strange particles provides information on the hadronization features of strongly interacting matter produced in heavy ion collisions. If we assume that a deconfinement phase transition occurs in a heavy ion collision, we have to look for qualitative changes (onset phenomena) when varying external parameters like system size and energy density. Therefore we study the ...
