Proteomic Analysis on Sequential Samples of Cystic Fluid Obtained from Human Brain Tumors

چکیده

Cystic formation in human primary brain tumors is a relatively rare event whose incidence varies widely according to the histotype of tumor. Composition cystic fluid has mostly been characterized samples collected at time tumor resection and no indications evolution content are available. We proteome using bottom-up proteomic approach on sequential obtained from secretory meningioma (SM), schwannoma (CS) high-grade glioma (CG). identified 1008 different proteins; 74 these proteins were found least once all tumors. The most abundant common studied derived plasma, with exception prostaglandin D2 synthase, which marker cerebrospinal origin. Overall, protein composition times same remained stable. After identification differentially expressed (DEPs) protein–protein interaction network analysis, we presence tumor-specific pathways that may help characterize tumor–host interactions. Our results suggest plasma leaking local blood–brain barrier disruption important contributors cyst formation, but (CSF) itself also contribute and, some cases, as immunoglobulin G, shows variations cannot be simply explained by differences vessel permeability or blood contamination.

Phylogenetic analysis of Escherichia coli strains isolated from human samples

Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a normal inhabitant of the gastrointestinal tract of vertebrates, including humans. Phylogenetic analysis has shown that E. coli is composed of four main phylogenetic groups (A, B1, B2 and D). Group A and B1 are generally associated with commensals, whereas group B2 is associated with extra-intestinal pathotypes. Most enteropathogenic isolates, however, are assigne...

A New Method for Isolation of Interstitial Fluid from Human Solid Tumors Applied to Proteomic Analysis of Ovarian Carcinoma Tissue

Major efforts have been invested in the identification of cancer biomarkers in plasma, but the extraordinary dynamic range in protein composition, and the dilution of disease specific proteins make discovery in plasma challenging. Focus is shifting towards using proximal fluids for biomarker discovery, but methods to verify the isolated sample's origin are missing. We therefore aimed to develop...

Proteomic and oxidative stress analysis in human brain samples of Huntington disease.

Huntington disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by expansion of CAG repeats in exon 1 of the huntingtin gene, affecting initially the striatum and progressively the cortex. This work reports a proteomic analysis of human brain postmortem samples obtained from striatum and cortex of patients with HD compared to samples of age- and sex-matched controls. Antioxidant defense proteins...

Proteomic Analysis of Nasal Epithelial Cells from Cystic Fibrosis Patients

The pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease remains incompletely understood. New explanations for the pathogenesis of CF lung disease may be discovered by studying the patterns of protein expression in cultured human nasal epithelial cells (HNEC). To that aim, we compared the level of protein expressions in primary cultures of HNEC from nasal polyps secondary to CF (CFNP, n = 4), p...

Multiple regression analysis of twin data obtained from selected samples.

The multiple regression analysis of twin data in which a cotwin's score is predicted from that of a proband (the member of a twin pair selected because of a deviant score) and the coefficient of relationship provides a powerful test of genetic etiology (DeFries and Fulker: Behav Genet 15:467-473, 1985). Moreover, when an augmented model containing an interaction term is fitted to the same data ...
