Commas Recovery with Syntactic Features in French and in Czech
Automatic speech transcripts can be made more readable and useful for further processing by enriching them with punctuation marks and other meta-linguistic information. We study in this work how to improve automatic recovery of one of the most difficult punctuation marks, commas, in French and in Czech. We show that commas detection performances are largely improved in both languages by integra...
متن کاملRobustness of prosodic features to voice imitation
Prosody plays an important role in the human recognition process; therefore, prosodic elements are normally used by impersonators aiming to resemble someone else. Since such voice imitation is one of the potential threats to security systems relying on automatic speaker recognition, and prosodic features have been considered for state-of-the-art recognition systems in recent years, the question...
متن کاملImproving named entity recognition with prosodic features
In natural language processing (NLP) the problem of named entity (NE) recognition in speech is well known, yet remains a challenge where performance is dependent on automatic speech recognition (ASR) system error rates. NEs are often foreign or out-of-vocabulary (OOV) words, leaving conventional ASR systems unable to recognize them. In our research, we improve a CRF-based NE recognition system ...
متن کاملOn the relation between voice source parameters and prosodic features in connected speech
The behaviour of the voice source characteristics in connected speech was studied. Voice source parameters were obtained by automatic inverse filtering, followed by automatic fitting of a glottal waveform model to the data. Consistent relations between voice source parameters and prosodic features were observed.
متن کاملAndclassification Using Prosodic Features Andlanguage
This paper presents an integrated approach for the segmentation and classiication of dialog acts (DA) in the Verbmobil project. In Verbmobil it is often suucient to recognize the sequence of DAs occurring during a dialog between the two partners. In our previous work 5] we segmented and classiied a dialog in two steps: rst we calculated hypotheses for the segment boundaries and decided for a bo...
