Supersymmetric Candidates for Dark Matter
Direct and indirect detection rates of relic neutralinos are reviewed in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. The theoretical estimates are compared with the most recent experimental limits from low–background detectors and neutrino telescopes. The properties of neutralino under the hypothesis that preliminary experimental results of the DAMA/NaI Collaboration may be indi...

Recent cosmological data allow to determine the universal Dark Matter (DM) density to a precision of about 10%, if a simple, well–motivated ansatz for the spectrum of primordial density perturbations is correct. Not surprisingly, a thermal neutralinõ χ 0 1 will have the correct relic density only in " small " regions of parameter space. In particular, for fixed values of the other parameters, t...
متن کاملOn Supersymmetric Dark Matter
The extra particles provided by Supersymmetry(SUSY) appear as natural candidates for exotica such as the missing Dark Matter of the Universe. The particle candidates for Dark Matter, and the basic elements of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model are reviewed. The needed elements to compute the neutralino counting rate are given, considering new Yukawa loop corrections to t...
متن کاملAntimatter from supersymmetric dark matter
We propose low–energy antideuterons in cosmic rays as a new possible signature for indirect detection of supersymmetric dark matter. Since the energy spectrum of the antiproton secondary component is still spoilt by considerable theoretical uncertainties, looking for low–energy antideuterons seems a plausible alternative. We apply our calculation to the AMS experiment, when mounted on the Inter...
متن کاملSupersymmetric Dark Matter with GLAST
We present a short review of the status of the dark matter problem. In particular we show that one of the best motivated candidate for the dark matter is the neutralino, a supersymmetric particle. Finally we study the possibility to detect γ-rays coming from neutralino pair annihilations that take place in our Galactic Center with the upcoming satellite detector GLAST.
