Proposal of a linked mirror configuration for magnetic confinement experiments

چکیده

A new linked mirror device for magnetic confinement experiment is proposed. The consists of two straight mirrors connected by half-torus. structure the configuration as a whole three dimensional because linear sections are not parallel. angle between generates rotational transform which results in good toroidally processing passing particles. In this way usual loss cone traditional machines eliminated. single particle similar to that tokamaks with most particles well confined. calculated neoclassical very and even better than an equivalent tokamak. Potentially proposed can allow MHD stable high beta equilibria plasma suitable neutron sources fusion reactors.
