چکیده
Burns are skin lesions determined by the thermal energy of heat transfer with cellular protein denaturation. Although infrequent during pregnancy, they can be fatal for both mother and fetus. The outcome depends on factors related to burns themselves, such as depth percentage body surface burned. that affect more than 20% cause systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) acute respiratory distress (ARDS) high rates fetal death asphyxia. In ARDS, prone position has been used over 40 years promote homogenization stress distribution pulmonary strain improved ventilation/perfusion. However, pregnancy major may constitute relative contraindications due abdominal pelvic compression, difficulty in monitoring heartbeats complications face belly burns. set associated need guided objective this case report, which aimed describe review literature discuss clinical case, well demonstrate favorable results gas exchange ventilatory mechanics relation pregnant woman without complications.

Comparison between conventional protective mechanical ventilation and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation associated with the prone position
OBJECTIVE To compare the effects of high-frequency oscillatory ventilation and conventional protective mechanical ventilation associated with the prone position on oxygenation, histology and pulmonary oxidative damage in an experimental model of acute lung injury. METHODS Forty-five rabbits with tracheostomy and vascular access were underwent mechanical ventilation. Acute lung injury was indu...
متن کاملSpontaneous breathing during mechanical ventilation in ARDS
The objective of mechanical ventilation used in the management of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is to ensure adequate tissue oxygenation and alveolar ventilation while limiting the patients’ work of breathing and preventing further damage to the lungs. Although the “partial support” ventilation modes were initially developed to assist weaning or liberation from supported ventilatio...
متن کاملComparison of Serum Levels of Vitamin D in Nulliparous Women with Severe Preeclampsia with Healthy Pregnant Woman
Background and Objectives: Hypertensive disorders are one of the causes of morbidity and mortality, which occur in 5% of pregnancies. One of the causes of preeclampsia, is inappropriate regulation of activator of placental Cyp27B1 enzyme, which is induced by vitamin D deficiency. This study aimed to assess the relationship between the level of vitamin D with risk of preeclampsia in pregnant wom...
