Distinction of atmospheric νμ− ντ and νμ− νs oscillations using short or intermediate baseline experiments
The current case for atmospheric νμ oscillations into active or sterile neutrinos is reviewed. It is argued that neither the study of neutral current events at SuperKamiokande, nor the information obtained from future long baseline experiments might be sufficient to unambigously decide between these two scenarios. However, a combination of these results with the results from future short or int...
متن کاملAsymmetrical-fed RHCP Wide-Band Slot Element for X-Band applications
An outstanding square slot element, for x-band wireless applications with asymmetric coplanar waveguide fed (CPW) is proposed. Various shapes of metallic strips are utilized as grounded stubs for providing Right Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP) functionality and wide-band properties. By adjusting the proposed stubs and hook-shaped radiator, length and positions, wider impedance band width is o...
متن کاملWide Band Nonuniform Substrate Integrated Waveguide (NSIW) Wilkinson Power Divider
A new wideband Wilkinson Power Divider which use the nonuniform substrate integrated waveguide (NSIW) method is presented in this paper. This structure utilizes NSIWs instead of the uniform quarter wavelength SIWs in conventional Wilkinson power divider. The proposed structure is analyzed by odd and even mode analysis. The proper NSIW section widths can be extracted by using even mode while the...
متن کاملMeasuring the Leptonic CP Phase in νμ → νμ Oscillations
In νμ → νμ oscillations, we find that the effect of the CP phase δ becomes large in the region E < 2 GeV and L > 2000 km. In this region, the change of the probability in this channel reaches about 0.4 due to the CP phase effect beyond our expectation in the case of large 1-3 mixing angle. Furthermore, the CP phase effect have almost same sign over the region E > 0.5 GeV so that one may find th...
متن کاملSelf-Equalized Distributed Amplifier for Wide Band Optical Transceivers
A novel technique for a self-equalized distributed amplifier is presented by showing the analogy between transversal filters and distributed amplifier topologies. The appropriate delay and gain coefficients of amplifier circuit are obtained by a Fourier expansion of the raised cosine spectrum in the frequency range of 0-40GHz.
