Project Managers’ Personality and Project Success: Moderating Role of External Environmental Factors

Successful project completion is a challenging phenomenon for managers. Various factors play an indispensable role in the success of project. The objective this study to examine managers’ personalities with moderating external environmental i.e., political, economic, social. includes 145 managers from 36 large-scale construction projects, both public and private sectors. big five personality model was used evaluate traits triple constraint criteria (cost, time, quality) gauge success. Data has been collected through well-structured questionnaire. analysis data indicated that like extraversion openness are positive predictors success, whereas conscientiousness, agreeableness, neuroticism did not have any direct relationship Importantly, findings concluded factors—like social—moderately influence link specific as moderators discussed. indicate essential traits, well achieving research contributions relevance theory practice provide deeper insight useful individuals, organizations, researchers, practitioners, decision-makers.
