Progression Risk Assessment of Post-surgical Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Based on Circular RNA-Associated Competing Endogenous RNA Mechanisms

چکیده
Background: Accurate risk assessment of post-surgical progression in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) patients is critical. Exploring key differentially expressed mRNAs (DE-mRNAs) regulated by circular RNAs (circRNAs) via the ceRNA mechanism could help establish a novel tool. Methods: network was established based on and correlation analysis. DE-mRNAs within associated with progression-free interval (PFI) PTC were identified to construct prognostic regulatory subnetwork. least absolute shrinkage selection operator (LASSO)–Cox regression applied identify hub DE-mRNA signature predicting PFI PTC. Results: Six DE-mRNAs, namely, CLCNKB, FXBO27, FXYD6, RIMS2, SPC24 , CDKN2A be most significantly related PTC, proposed. Study of Long Noncoding RNA FER1L4 and RB1, as Its Competing Endogenous RNA Network Target Gene, in Breast Cancer
Introduction: Breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related death among females, which requires an exploration for markers to propose a more specific categorization of this cancer. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), the main subset of noncoding transcripts, are involved in tumorigenic processes. In this study, we investigated the expression of the fer-1–like family member 4 (FER...
متن کاملMiR-96 induced non-small-cell lung cancer progression through competing endogenous RNA network and affecting EGFR signaling pathway
Objective(s): Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has become a serious global health problem in the 21st century, and tumor proliferation and metastasis are the leading causes of death in patients with lung cancer. The present study aimed to verify the function of miR-96 and miR-96 in relation to competing with endogenous RNA regulatory network in NSCLC progression inc...

UNLABELLED A given mRNA can be regulated by interactions with miRNAs and in turn the availability of these miRNAs can be regulated by their interactions with alternate mRNAs. The concept of regulation of a given mRNA by alternate mRNA (competing endogenous mRNA) by virtue of interactions with miRNAs through shared miRNA response elements is poised to become a fundamental genetic regulatory mech...
متن کاملModelling Competing Endogenous RNA Networks
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small RNA molecules, about 22 nucleotide long, which post-transcriptionally regulate their target messenger RNAs (mRNAs). They accomplish key roles in gene regulatory networks, ranging from signaling pathways to tissue morphogenesis, and their aberrant behavior is often associated with the development of various diseases. Recently it has been experimentally shown that the...
متن کاملLong non-coding RNA MEG3 functions as a competing endogenous RNA to regulate gastric cancer progression
BACKGROUND Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have recently emerged as important regulators in governing fundamental biological processes, and many of which are likely to have functional roles in tumorigenesis. Maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) gene encodes a lncRNA whose expression is lost in an expanding list of primary human tumors and tumor cell lines, however its biological role and regulatory...
