چکیده
Abstract. The evolution of Friction Stir Consolidation (FSC) from recycling towards upcycling technique proved to be one the excellent solid-state methods for manufacturing functionally graded billets. Multi-material Functional Graded Materials (FGMs) represent a novel class materials characterized by gradual change in properties and functions which can tailored enhance components performance. Manufacturing techniques play critical role achieving designed compositional microstructural distribution. Specifically, FSC allows FGM billets out metallic chips; mixing different chips offers mutually exclusive mechanical like high hardness good ductility single billet with formability. present research further explores some challenges while combining dissimilar aluminum alloys percentages spatial order, especially radial direction. metallurgical were assessed through Vickers measurements microstructure analysis. results revealed that new strategies are needed better exploitation as method fabrication Functionally Material.

It was conceived to have a number of advantages over common FSW machine...
متن کاملAnalysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...
متن کاملFriction stir welding and processing
Friction stir welding (FSW) is a relatively new solid-state joining process. This joining technique is energy efficient, environment friendly, and versatile. In particular, it can be used to join high-strength aerospace aluminum alloys and other metallic alloys that are hard to weld by conventional fusion welding. FSW is considered to be the most significant development in metal joining in a de...
