چکیده
The resistive superconducting fault current limiter is well known for its simple structure and outstanding current-limiting effect, it broadly applied in power grid systems. second-generation high-temperature superconductor (HTS) tape, of higher structural strength greater room-temperature resistance, suited application limiters. quenching caused by overcurrent the HTS tape a complexed coupling effect several physical factors. properties directly impact ultimate tape’s quench performance. In this study, various SS316-laminated tapes, different critical currents, resistances, masses, were prepared. pulse parameters samples measured using RLC high-current test platform. By analyzing resultant data, quantitative assessment methodology to measure tolerance toward was developed. dependence on current, mass studied. This provides numerical guidance material selection

Single-Phase Resistive Superconductor Electrical Current Limiter
This paper presents the analysis, design, construction and ac test results of low voltage single-phase resistive superconductor electrical current limiters. Two different types of resistive superconductor current limiter are presented: the first one is built with three concentric, cylindrical and helicoidal coils connected in parallel and the second one is built with two superposed cylindrical ...
متن کاملSelection of Resistive and Inductive Superconductor Fault Current Limiters Location Considering System Transient Stability
Superconductor fault current limiter (SFCL) is an effective device to suppress high fault currents. This paper presents a comparative study of resistive and inductive fault current limiters from transient stability point of view. Appropriate location and type of the limiters in a HV substation is selected by a qualitative approach based on the equal area criterion. Study system is simulated by...

متن کاملDecreasing Distribution Generation Effects on Grid Short Circuit Level Using Superconducting Fault Current Limiter Through Updating Relays Set-Points
Power system protection at transmission and distribution levels based on overcurrent relays is essential based on their properties such as detection, stability, high speed, backup and error correction accuracy. Since distributed generation sources are connected to the power grid, they not only increase the short circuit level of the grid, but also disrupt the set point of main and backup relays...
متن کاملProtection Principle for a DC Distribution System with a Resistive Superconductive Fault Current Limiter
A DC distribution system, which is suitable for access to distributed power generation and DC loads, is one of the development directions in power systems. Furthermore, it could greatly improve the energy efficiency and reduce the loss of power transportation. The huge short circuit current is always a great threat to the safety of the components, especially the capacitors and diodes. A resisti...
