چکیده
Renewable energy and sustainable development have attracted considerable attention due to the rapid growth of consumption environmental pollution. The further electrocatalytic water splitting can promote application next-generation systems. However, lack an in-depth understanding dynamic restructuring process occurring on catalyst surface in oxygen evolution reaction (OER) has limited improvement OER-related theories. Therefore, real-time monitoring analysis reconstruction a great significance for deeply intrinsic catalytic mechanism OER. Herein, latest progress situ methods characterizing various transition metal-based OER electrocatalysts recent years is summarized. Many commonly used characterization techniques been reviewed reveal correlation between structure, reconstruction, activity.

Chemical Recognition of Active Oxygen Species on the Surface of Oxygen Evolution Reaction Electrocatalysts
Owing to the transient nature of the intermediates formed during the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) on the surface of transition metal oxides, their nature remains largely elusive by the means of simple techniques. The use of chemical probes is proposed, which, owing to their specific affinities towards different oxygen species, unravel the role played by these species on the OER mechanism. Fo...
