Prognostic value of red cell distribution width-to-platelet ratio in mortality of major burn in Sanglah Hospital Bali

نویسندگان

چکیده

Introduction: The mortality rate in Sanglah Hospital due to major burns is quite high. ratio of red cell distribution width (RDW) and platelet (PLT) (RPR) as a prognostic marker has never been studied Indonesia. Calculations RPR are easy, widely available cost-efficient.Method: This study was retrospective observational case-control, with 60 patients consisting 30 cases controls. Samples were taken from the Medical Record Unit April 2019 2021. Cases samples after day seven, while controls that survived. RDW PLT value on seven associated incidence mortality. Results: mean case group higher than control group. 0.0559, 0.0947 (p<0.001). increase 40.97%. Statistical analysis showed high significant risk factor (OR = 21.36; p < 0.001).Conclusion: High at Hospital.

Prognostic Validity of Red Cell Distribution Width in Neonatal Sepsis

Background Neonatal sepsis is one of the most critical illness in neonates that is responsible for a great proportion of morbidity and mortality in neonates so early diagnosis and identification of high risk cases is a challenging aim of our study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of red cell distribution width (RDW), in neonatal sepsis at the time of admission ...

Association between Red Cell Distribution Width and Mortality in Pediatric Patients Admitted to Intensive Care Units

Background: Red cell distribution width (RDW) is a routine laboratory measure that could be used as a predictor of mortality in critically ill patients. Identification of patients at risk for mortality early in the course of PICU admission is an important step in improving the outcome. We aimed to assess the use of RDW as an early biomarker for outcome in pediatric critical illnesses. Methods:...
