چکیده

Abstract Background It has been known that liver stiffness (LS) assessed by transient elastography is associated with right heart dysfunction and the severity of tricuspid regurgitation. However, predictive value LS for adverse outcome in patients regurgitation (TR) uncertain. Objectives The aim this study was to identify prognostic moderate or greater degree TR. Methods A total 257 severe TR who underwent both echocardiography were retrospectively analysed. Patients have congenital disease chronic including, viral hepatitis, alcoholic disease, autoimmune hepatocellular carcinoma excluded. Severe defined as elevated kilopascal (kPa) ≥11 (High kPa). Primary composite all-cause death unplanned admission failure. Results One hundred forty-one had 116 twenty-eight (50%) stiffness. During a follow-up period (median 637 days, IQR 1317), (45.1%) primary outcomes occurred. In Kaplan-Meier analysis, high kPa showed worst outcome. Moreover, worse clinical group than low kPa. multivariate Cox regression independently (HR=1.66, 95% CI: 1.28–2.16), p<0.001). Conclusions fibrosis measured may be useful marker cardiac hepatopathy related TR, contribute predict prognosis Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Excessive respiratory variation in tricuspid regurgitation systolic velocities in patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation.

AIMS Respiratory changes in tricuspid regurgitation (TR) systolic velocities are occasionally demonstrated by Doppler echocardiography in patients with TR. We tested the hypothesis that excessive respiratory changes in TR velocities are diagnostic of severe TR. METHODS AND RESULTS The difference between the maximal (expiratory) and minimal (inspiratory) TR systolic velocities during spontaneo...

General anesthesia with remifentanil for cesarean section in a parturient with severe mitral and tricuspid regurgitation

Valvular heart lesions have deleterious effects on hemodynamics in parturients during pregnancy. Cesarean section with an opioid-based general anesthesia is used to alleviate the adverse effects. We described a case of a 28-year-old primigravida at 37 weeks’ gestation with a diagnosis of severe mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation, and pulmonary hypertension in active labor. Cesarean s...

Determinants of Surgical Outcome in Patients With Isolated Tricuspid Regurgitation

Background—We sought to identify preoperative predictors of clinical outcomes after surgery in patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation. Methods and Results—We prospectively enrolled 61 consecutive patients (54 women, aged 57 9 years) with isolated severe tricuspid regurgitation undergoing corrective surgery. Twenty-one patients (34%) were in New York Heart Association functional class II, ...
